The Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) is the supplier database used by the UK utility industry to source current and potential suppliers of major products, services, and works. The UVDB has been in operation since 1995 and is now used by over fifty utilities, covering electricity (including nuclear), water, gas, and telecom sectors.
The aim of the UVDB service is simple – to provide a single focus point for the collection and sharing of supplier prequalification information, reducing costs, time, and administrative workload whilst increasing opportunities for both suppliers and utilities.
