Mountbatten Centre

Standing seam was installed – used on the main swimming pool area in a convex / con-cave curved layout and on the Gym area as a fully curved barrel vault. The barrel vault had to overcome various differing radii with extremely tight dimensions. Perforated standing seam was also installed internally to the pool to help maintain the illusion of the ‘tube like’ appearance of the gymnasium.

Another issue to overcome was that due to the building requirements there could be no internal rainwater pipes. To overcome this obstacle the CA Hydra gutter system was installed which then fed the rainwater flow into outlets at each end of the building.
