The project involved the phased removal and replacement of flat roof coverings on most roofs of the school, along with all associated work. While the majority of the work was completed during the summer holidays, some tasks continued while the school was operational, necessitating a traffic management plan and a comprehensive site setup.
The scope of work includes:
- Installation of 120mm of insulation
- Abutment detailing for upstands, gutters, roof edges, and other areas
- Replacement of roof lights
- Replacement of windows
- Replacement of slate roofing, including insulation of the existing roof structure
- Extensive replacement of ceilings, including plaster repairs, decorations, and replacement of lighting
- Removal of redundant mechanical and electrical equipment from the roof space, along with associated cabling.
