Bovington Tank Museum
Bovington Tank Museum is a project we are immensely proud of securing the winning spot for the Kalzip Teamkal Award 2008 for Technical Excellence and Design and also The National Federations of Roofing Contractors Award for 2009.
The complexity of the design came from the technical requirements of the building usage with the tanks in the display hall requiring natural light which came about form the tapering north lights.
Various profiles of standing seam to varying pitches were used including tapered sheeting at the central point and off site construction with the viewing pod. In addition just to add to the complexity other systems incorporated in the installation included Plastmo Polycarbonate rooflights, Kingspan wall cladding, single ply membrane, Trespa rain-screen, and Latchways Mansafe system.
