A 21 year partnership with Latchways
Fall protection specialist Latchways and specialist contractor Gable Fall Safe celebrate a 21 year relationship!
August 2017 welcomed the anniversary of a partnership between fall protection specialist Latchways and one of its installer companies, Gable Fall Safe. The relationship was formed following a six-month trial that was given after ‘relentless persistence’ from the company 21 years ago.
Gable were the first installer to carry out a fall protection installation using the constant force post system to the Renault Centre – then The Spectrum Building – and the iconic Bournemouth International Centre in Dorset.
Other key projects that the company has worked on have included the BBC television production studios Roath Lock, Cardiff, the Mary Rose Museum, Portsmouth, and the newly built Terminal 2, Dublin, which necessitated the installation of over 1200lm of specially adapted handrail and 1200lm of cable based fall protection.
Gable Fall Safe operates as the fall protection arm of the Gable group and is unique because it is the only roofing and fully approved mansafe installer in the UK, allowing the completion of the full package of roofing and mansafe installation and certification.
Director Neil Wilson says he has enjoyed working with the Latchways team over the past 15 years, describing them as “second to none”.
“Latchways has a great team ethos and has always been very supportive to all of our requirements. Its continued investment and engineering excellence helps maintain its position as global leaders in fall protection and Gable Fall Safe look forward to another 20 years of working together!”
During 2017 Gable Fall Safe were successful in securing tendered works for a project in excess of £250,000 for the installation of mansafe and walksafe to a rail depot re-roofing project in London, working in conjunction with its specialist rail department Gable Rail.
